A new way of actuating different features (like turning on lighting effects, fan control, etc) is now available. Rather then relying on a mechanical switch that you have to physically push or switch on and off, the new soft touch switching works as easy as waving your hand over the specified areas to trigger the event.

A small magnet can be installed anywhere (in the example it's part of the paw pad), it also can be worn in the form of a ring or wrist strap that would work through fur and other materials.
