Head - General Care

You can use diluted rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and mist over the outside and inside to help deodorize and disinfect. Be sure to do this after every use. NOTE - Rubber Noses: If you have a soft squishy rubber nose, only use water to clean the nose; using alcohol and rubbing might deteriorate surface.

If the head has a movable jaw please make sure that the head does not get crushed or squished too much.

If your head contains electronics, make sure the battery is not installed in the head when not in use.

Cleaning

If your head contains electronics (like LED eyes, fan, etc), you can only spot clean. Do not submerge head in water.

If your head does not have any electronics installed you can spot clean, soak or submerge the head in water.

Spot Cleaning

  • You can use a carpet cleaner spray like Folex, spraying over the spot you want cleaned and using your fingers to work into the fur or a comb, breaking up the dirt. Then using a rag or paper towel, press down on the area to absorb the moisture. You can also spray some water over the area to help lift any remaining dirt. Once you are finished use a fan to help dry out the fur and brush.

Rag Wash

  • You can use a wet rag with a little detergent and softly press/rub over the fur and liner. Use another wet rag to rinse away the soap, pressing into. To help dry you can then pad it down with a dry rag and place the head in front of a fan, rotating around. Make sure the head is fully dry inside and out before storing.

Deep Cleaning

  • If you are needing a more deep clean you can fill up a tub with cold to warm water, adding a little bit of detergent and then placing the head in. Now massage over the fur as well as the inside liner, making sure to not poke in the eyes. You can get the eyes wet and soapy if needed to clean. Once done drain the tub and rinse with water, using your hands inside and out to squeeze dry or use some towels to pad dry. Place a fan in front and rotate around for a few hours, brushing once in a while till fully dry.
